Barbara Kadlecek of Plainfield, IL passed away on May 30, 2023, surrounded by her close family.

She was born in Chicago on January 16, 1947, to Ann and Charles Kadlecek who preceded her in death. Her sister Mayann F. Havranek preceded her in death in 2019. She attended Mount Assisi Academy in Lemont for high school and continued her education at Mt. Assisi Convent. She graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1972. She then continued her education in information technology and she graduated from College of St. Francis 1979 with her masters degree. She retired from Central DuPage Hospital after 26 years of service in 2010. She was an avid cross stitcher and enjoyed her ladies days cross stitching and chatting. She leaves behind her dedicated brother Joseph Kadlecek, her nieces Annette Weeden-Gray (Craig), Elizabeth Pitner (John) and her cherished great nieces and nephews Alexis Weeden, Adam Weeden and Delaney Pitner, and her beloved dog Harry.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 2:30 PM until a funeral service at 6:30PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.

Burial will be private.
