Banh Thi Montez, age 71, of Oswego, IL died on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She was born October 21, 1943 in Ba Ton, Saigon, South Vietnam the daughter of Nguyen Nga Van and Dang Hap Thi. She was an avid gardener, loved to sew and was always on the go taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband Alfred Montez of Oswego, IL, children Andrew (Tiffany) Montez of Texas, Anna (Ian) Halligan of North Aurora, IL, Marina (Scott) Ellis of Seymour, IL, Jessica (Paul Fichtinger) Montez of Wisconsin, grandchildren Joseph, Amber, Steven, Sarah Montez, Zoey, Tommy, Jack, Caden, Oliver Halligan, Esti, Samara, Bram Ellis, siblings Nguyen-t-Ngon, Nguyen Ba, Nguyen Thuan, Nguyen Bong, Nguyen Anh Boy, Nguyen Van Quy, Nguyen Long, Nguyen Huynh, Nguyen Hoa, Nguyen Khiem and Nguyen Quang. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Tommy Halligan.
