ARABELLA A. KNUDSON October 19, 1923 - September 27, 2017 Arabella Ann Knudson, 93, of Newark passed Wednesday afternoon at Edward Hospital. Arabella was born October 19, 1923 in Plattville to Elmer & Mabel (Lutz) Johnson. She married Spencer I. Knudson March 10, 1946 at the Plattville Lutheran Church. Spencer passed June 9, 2008. Arabella & Spencer lived on a farm south of Newark for 33 years and then moved into town in 1979. She had been a steady and faithful member of the Newark Church. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ness of Newark; her son, Kenneth (Kathy) Knudson of Serena; four grandchildren, Tom (Crystal) Ness, Doug (Kristin) Ness, Stephanie Knudson, Joshua Knudson; four great grandchildren, Addison Ness, Bryson Ness, Cohen Ness, Lennox Ness and a brother, Keil (Liz) Johnson of Yorkville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Spencer Knudson; two brothers, Archie Johnson and Leo Johnson and son-in-law Roger Ness. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1st at the Newark Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 101 E. Liberty St. Newark, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church with Pastor Luke Emerson officiating. Interment will be at the Millington-Newark Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Ness, Doug Ness, Stephanie Knudson, Joshua Knudson, Jim Berg, Larry Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be C.G. Fifield and Matt Johnson.
