Antinette Krestel, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born on February 17, 1930, in Sicily, Italy, Antinette's journey through life was marked by love, resilience, and a deep connection to her family and community.

She was the cherished daughter of Santo DiSalvo and Antoneata (née Taravella) DiSalvo. Antinette was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, including two brothers, Antino and Franco DiSalvo, and four sisters, Rosa, Josephine, Catarina, and Angela. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Antinette is survived by her loving children: Jennie (Jim) Muldoon, Carl (LeAnn) Messina, and Antonio (Debbie) Messina. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, nurturing and supporting many grandchildren who will carry her legacy forward. The love she shared with her family was profound and enduring, creating countless cherished memories that will continue to be treasured.

Antinette's vibrant spirit shone through her active participation in various community organizations. She was a proud member of the German Club, the Italian American Social Club, and the Elks Lodge #1968, all located in Vista, California. These connections brought her joy and allowed her to engage with friends and family while celebrating her rich heritage and the bonds of friendship.

Her life was characterized by warmth, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to her loved ones. Antinette's laughter, compassion, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She embodied the values of family, friendship, and community, leaving behind a legacy of love that will endure.

Antinette Krestel will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her remarkable life. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of her family and the memories of a life well-lived. The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you, shall never pass away.

A visitation for Antinette will be on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 3:00 P.M. until time of prayer service 6:30 P.M. at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S.
