Anthony Charles "Tony" Salamone, age 83, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 27, 2025. He was born August 22, 1941 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Anthony and Florence nee Rio Salamone.

He was preceded in death by his wife Cookie (nee Margarites) Salamone, daughter Lisa (nee Salamone) Smith and grandchild Krysten Nichole Smith.

He is survived by his children Lorraine (Michael) nee Salamone Bellas, Tony (Cindy) Salamone, Chrysi (Paul) nee Salamone Sengstock, grandchildren Jessica Lankard, Johnny Smith, Anthony Salamone, Nicholas Salamone, Emilia Bellas, Alyssa Krol, and great-grandchildren.

Tony proudly served his country in the US Army from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1962. He was a member of St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Plainfield, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. - St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543

Inurnment will be next to his wife will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. with full military honors.
