Anthony "Tony" Paul Lowe, 67, passed away on August 28, 2026, in Plano, Illinois. Born on February 19, 1959, in Chicago, IL, Anthony lived a life marked by his devotion to his talents, and his family and friends.
Tony grew up in Chicago and attended St. Anthony's School in Cicero, where he later worked, finding great fulfillment in contributing to a place that had shaped his early life. He graduated from Oswego High School, further deepening his roots in Illinois. Anthony dedicated many years as an automotive mechanic, a career that aligned with his lifelong passion for fixing cars. His skills extended beyond his profession, often helping friends and neighbors with various maintenance repairs.
His talents were not confined to the mechanical; Tony was also a gifted vocalist, performing as the lead singer for several bands throughout his life. His love for music was paralleled by his enthusiasm for sports, particularly as a diehard Chicago Bears fan. Tony was an accomplished swimmer too, winning numerous medals in the breaststroke during his youth.
Tony's outgoing and generous nature left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was a man who cherished his relationships, evident in the deep bonds he maintained with family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Joane Males; sister, Judii Lowe; brother, Joseph J. Males II (Karen); daughters; Victoria Brown, Tracie Washington, and Terri Smith; niece, Alexis Males; granddaughter, Paris Marie Holmes; and great-granddaughter, Kei'mani Ginette Holmes. With many aunts and uncles, as well as cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph J. Males.
Details of Tony's memorial services are pending and will be announced in due course. The family is being assisted by DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Tony may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
