Anna Mae McGowan-Mehlmann, age 87 of Yorkville, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at Seasons Hospice Center in Naperville, IL. She was born October 14, 1931 in Aurora, IL to the late James and Clarissa Greshaw. Anna grew up on a farm in Na Au Say Township, also loved her farm life as a child, dancing, sewing, crafts, camping and fishing. Anna is survived by her six children: Todd (Mary) McGowan, James (Susan) McGowan, Anita (Douglas) Martin, Beth (Scott) Tomasino, Robert McGowan and Steven (Dianna) McGowan; 13 grandchildren: Kate Camarena, Ryan McGowan, Kyle McGowan, Dale Franklin, David Franklin, Matthew Martin, Amy Pacheco, Daniel Tomasino, Kellyann Clarissa Avila, Adam McGowan, Patrick McGowan, Alexander McGowan and Collin McGowan; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen Ward and Janith Highley; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents; her first husband and father of her children, Robert E. McGowan; her second husband, John Mehlmann; granddaughter, Ashley McGowan in infancy and brother, Robert Greshaw.
