Anna Marie Giovenco Leganski was born in Chicago, IL March 16, 1952. Her mother Sonia N. Giovenco was a homemaker. Her father Thomas J. Giovenco owned a service station on Lake and Morgan in Chicago.

Anna attended grade school at St. Michael's and completed high school at St. Benedicts. She participated in golf and bowling leagues while working as payroll supervisor for the Chicago Tribune.

She and her husband Ken Leganski traveled the world together until his death. In 2019, Anna moved to Dyersburg, TN to be with her sister.

Anna leaves behind her brother Sydney (Betty) Giovenco and her sister Rosemarie (The late Bobby) Ramey and a large Leganski family including brothers-in-law Paul (Rita), Mark (Diana), and sisters-in-law Carol (Ron) Wleizen and Marianne (Mike) Madsen. 12 nieces and nephews and 7 great-nieces and nephew have always been her joy. A special thank you to her long time friends Monika and Doris.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543. Burial will follow at Risen Lord Catholic Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
