IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ann Louise
Adair
December 17, 1937 – January 23, 2023
Our wonderfully happy aunt, Ann Louise Adair, passed away in the early morning on January 23 peacefully in her sleep with Hospice care at Edward/Elmhurst Hospital in Naperville, IL.
For the past two years, she lived near her two nieces in an assisted living apartment at Harbor Chase in Plainfield, IL.
Ann was born December 17, 1937. On Christmas Eve, she was adopted by Ruth Louise Oeming and Loring Fredrick Oeming of Lansing, MI. She was lucky enough to have a younger brother, David John Oeming. In her early years, she loved going to the movies and met her husband, Raymond Adair. She enjoyed playing cards for hours with her niece and drinking Faygo root beer. You could see Ann walking with her beagle named Tippy all over the Lansing area of 1131 Bensch St.
In 1994, she moved to Illinois with her sister-in-law and her children. She lived in a retirement community near downtown Palatine for nearly 25 years. Ann participated in all the activities and met so many wonderful friends. Her roommate was like her sister from the heart. Ann always loved to color, paint, and play king's corner. You often saw her with a smile from ear to ear as she greeted new people in the community.
Ann is preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, and husband.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Carolyne Oeming, her nieces Ginger (Shawn) Marshall and Alexandria (Lisa) Shulman, her great nephew Andrew Oeming, her great niece Meghan (Brent) Amati, and her dearest friends, Barbara Weaver and Chris Cavenaile.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25 from 10am – 12pm at Dunn Funeral Home with Crematory 1801 Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL 60543.
Her body will be laid to rest in Lansing, MI at Evergreen Cemetery.
