It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anderson Finn Kelly. His bright spirit, kind heart, and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Finn was born on March 7, 2007, in Aurora, Illinois, and grew up in Oswego, Illinois.

From an early age, he brought light and laughter wherever he went. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend, with a welcoming smile that filled every room. Finn truly never knew a stranger and treated everyone with kindness.

Finn had a deep love for music. He began playing the drums at the age of 7 and found his true musical home at age 8 when he joined School of Rock in Plainfield, Illinois, as a student. There, his passion for music grew, and the program helped open the path for him to become a performer. Through School of Rock, Finn formed incredible friendships, and his family built many cherished relationships within that community.

That journey came full circle a decade later. After graduating from high school, Finn began teaching at School of Rock in Geneva, Illinois, where he loved his work and was deeply loved by his students.

In addition to teaching music, Finn loved performing. Alongside close friends, he formed a Grateful Dead tribute band, The Dirty Dead, which performed locally and built a dedicated following.

Finn is survived by his father, Jeff; mother, Ashley; brother, Brody; maternal grandfather, Ray Dennison; and paternal grandparents, James and Margaret Kelly, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Patricia Dennison.

May Finn rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

A Visitation for Finn will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, IL 60543.

Family and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Anne Catholic Church 551 Boulder Hill Pass Oswego, IL 60543 on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial.
