Amy Ann Rippel age 88, formerly from Aurora and Montgomery, at rest peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at The Landings Senior Living, Batavia, IL surrounded by her loving family. Amy was born June 20, 1935, in Galesburg, IL the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Gagg.

She married her high school sweetheart Fred and spent 43 wonderful and memorable years together. They spent many years at Greers Ferry Lake Arkansas after their retirement and created many wonderful memories with the family on the lake. In early days you would have found Amy at East Aurora HS sporting events supporting her daughters, the sports boosters and her husband Fred who was the athletic director for many years. She also had a passion for garage sales and thrift stores, never one she could pass up. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her twin daughters, Rhonda Hoffman, and Rene (Kevin) Konrad, grandchildren, Melissa (Alex) Valerio, Brittney (Eric) Schoeberlein, Laura Oglesby, Nathan (Shannon) Konrad and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frederick, brother Robert Gagg and sister Pam Cunningham.

In support of Amy's request, the family will be celebrating her life privately.
