Althea Montagna passed away in the early morning hours of May 14th, 2020 at Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora, Illinois from complications related to the COVID-19 virus at the age of 94.
Althea was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall, Son-in-Law Anthony Chirico, and her 10 siblings. Althea is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Chirico and son, Marshall John Montagna. Althea was able to witness the growing of her family and left behind a legacy filled with both grandchildren: Anthony Chirico, Jenny Cuevas, Jennifer (Jeff) Beback,and Amanda (Jon) Korber; Great-grandchildren: Jacquelyn (Brian) Boberg, Melanie (Edgar) Moreno, Alexandra Cuevas, Noah Cuevas, JT Korber, Ryann Beback, Nathan Cuevas, Anthony Chirico IV, Gracie Korber, Payton Beback, and Nicco Chirico; Great-great grandchildren: Kennedy Boberg, Piper Moreno, Benjamin Boberg, and Emma Moreno.
Althea enjoyed spending her time baking, ceramics, and most of all, enjoying quality time with her loved ones. She will be dearly missed by not only those related to her, but also by those who had the pleasure of knowing her throughout her many years on this earth. To have known Althea, is to have loved her.
Althea's family has chosen to have a private viewing.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
