Alma B. Mercado, age 91, of Montgomery, IL; peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on October 31, 2018. Alma was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was married to the love of her life the late Olegario Mercado (WWII Veteran) on November 18, 1948 in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was a dedicated homemaker and will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her four children; Fernando (Sina Ann) Mercado, Alma Garcia, Ruth (James) DiSilvestro, MaryHelen (Tony) Torres; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons; Hernan and Bernardino Mercado. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
