M. Arlene Alexander,83, of Sheridan died Sunday August 31, 2014 at her daughters home in Serena. Arlene was born September 30, 1930 in Fresno, California to Joel & Lillian (Davis) Reeves. She married Nathaniel Alexander December 24, 1949 at the Presbyterian Church in Aurora. Nathaniel passed September 9, 1996. She had owned and operated the Serena Café and worked at the Fermi National Laboratory and Sheridan Correctional Center cafeterias. Arlene also loved and well known for her embroidery. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Damon) Wilson of Serena; her son, Keith (Paula) Alexander of Sheridan; six grandchildren, Kathryn Najera, Brooke Alexander, Lindsey Alexander, Aja Alexander, Staci Wilson, William Wilson; seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Nathaniel Alexander; a son, Kevin Lee Alexander; two sisters, Gloria and Evelyn. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13th with Leon McClimans officiating at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. In Sheridan.
