ALEEN M. ALEXANDER June 21, 1918 - May 18, 2018 Aleen M. Alexander, 99, of Norway passed Wednesday morning, May 16, 2018 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion. Aleen was born June 21, 1918 in Sac City, Iowa to Harvey & Glodie (Wood) Henson. She married George W. Alexander July 28, 1936 in Sac City, Iowa. George passed April 20, 1990. She had worked as a quality control inspector at the Hotpoint Co. in Cicero for 26 years. Aleen & George moved to Bloomington, IN. in 1965 and she continued her work for the G.E. Co. for 3 years. Aleen was a member of the Sheridan United Methodist Church and had been a volunteer at the OSF. St. Elizabeth gift shop. She is survived by a son, Harvey (Nancy) Alexander of Norway; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Aleen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Alexander; a son, Vernon Alexander; three brothers, Gale Henson, Floyd Henson, Harold Henson and a sister, Rose Henson. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 21st at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. 333 W. Church St. Sheridan, IL, 60551. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Richard Fassig officiating at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien Pallbearers will be Ron Alexander, Mark Alexander, Eric Alexander, David Alexander, Trenton Alexander and Mark Hinkley.
