Harvey Lee Hoffman, 67, passed away on Monday August 21, 2017. He was born September 18, 1949 in Aurora, IL to the late Henry and Ruth Hoffman (Krahn). He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America for many years in the greater Aurora area. His love for woodworking, carpentry and painting will be remembered by all who knew him. Following successful treatment of cancer, he and his wife Debi Hoffman (Dailey) moved to the island of Oahu, HI in 2007. Harvey is survived by his wife Debi Hoffman (Dailey); sister Lori (Brian) Voga; three children, Joshua (Stephanie) Hoffman, Julie (Anthony) Reiss, and Jacob (Katharyn) Hoffman; four step children, Jason (Rachel) Hill, Tammera Herbsleb, Dorielle Herbsleb, Julie C. (Ray) Booth; seven grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Ruth Hoffman and sisters Sandra Salsbury and Berneace Weaver. A memorial will be held on September 18, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL. A Boy Scout Ceremony will be held at the funeral home at 5:30 PM, Scouters are asked to attend.
