Obituary for Donald Gary Picton

Donald Gary Picton, age 60, of Oswego, IL died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born January 23, 1957 in Aurora. He went to Our Lady of Good Counsel School and Aurora Central Catholic High School. He served in the United States Navy. He worked in construction and concrete for many years and then for Oswego Community School District #308 in the maintenance department. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, cruising on his Harley, and his signature blue flamed customizations. He is survived by his son Donald (Joanna Goss) Picton, his mother Virginia Salazar, step father John Salazar, two sisters Cindy Picton and Mary (Mark) Blanchflower, two nephews Jason (Allison) Castillo and Andrew Blanchflower, one niece Kira Blanchflower, three stepbrothers John, Nick, and Todd Salazar, a step-sister Raquel Salazar and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Charles Picton, step father Percy Shonk, his grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be on Sunday November 19, 2017 from 1:00 PM until the funeral service at 4:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. For additional information 630/554/3888 of www.dunnfamilyfuneralhome.com
